Located in Naniwa, a castle town around Osaka Castle that once flourished as a taiko drum-making center, Taikomasa continues to cherish the meticulous techniques of taiko drum artisans that have been passed down for hundreds of years. At their taiko workshop, every process, from cutting the logs to hollowing out, carving, painting, and applying the skin, is done by hand, creating the heartfelt 'resonance' of the taiko drums, embodied in the taiko artisans' sensibilities. They also exhibit the danjiri (floor floats), futon taiko floats, and mikoshi (portable shrines) used in Osaka's traditional festivals, and offer a 'Naniwa Traditional Culture Experience Tour.' The 'Wadaiko Zanmai Plan' includes a tour of the taiko drum manufacturing workshop, a mini-taiko drum-making experience, and even an actual taiko drum performance and a powerful live taiko drumming experience. There's also a merchandise corner exclusively for customers of the taiko zanmai plan.
