Forest of Osaka (Kurondo)

A nature park to enjoy BBQ while basking in the rich forest

A nature park (total 9 locations in prefecture) that has forests and facilities maintained by the Osaka government to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the prefecture and for visitors to enjoy the rich nature of Kongo-Ikoma-Kisen Quasi-National Park. On the Osaka side of the hiking trail from Kisaichi Station towards Kurondo Pond of Nara is Kurondo Park. It has many gentle ups and downs, as well as several hiking trails. Inside the park are day-trip cooking and BBQ facilities (fees apply) for visitors to enjoy some BBQ while they bask in the rich forests.
Natural parks (9 locations in the prefecture) where forests and facilities have been developed by Osaka Prefecture.
Kurondo Park is located on the Osaka side of the hiking trail that runs from Keihan Kisaichi Station to Kurondo Pond in Nara Prefecture.
There are many gently undulating terrain and many hiking trails.
There is a paid day-use cooking and barbecue facility within the park, where you can enjoy a barbecue while taking in the forest.
