This is Sakai’s only planetarium, opened following renovations in March 2012. During regularly-scheduled projections, visitors can enjoy a rich program suitable for a wide range of audiences, adults and children alike. Varied planetarium programming that changes with the season is offered together with night sky commentary. Two highly-recommended special programs are Planetarium Aka-chan OK!, which offers parents with babies a chance to enjoy the facility, and Evening Platenarium, which runs from the evening and is geared toward adult visitors.
