Minamiyamate Rest House

A Western-style building that is said to have been built from 1864 to 1865 toward the end of the Edo period.
It’s a distinctive, uniquely structured, early foreign settlement house with stone exterior walls and a terrace, built using a combination of wood and stone pillars.
The house is open to the public as a rest house where you can take a break.

Kinenzaka Slope

A narrow, steep, stone-paved slope that runs along the east side of the Oura Cathedral.
The slope starts from an unusual area some distance away from the Minamiyamate Settlement known as the Triangle of Prayers, where a church, temple, and shrine are in close proximity with one another.
It's a low-traffic street with a quiet atmosphere, and you can experience the charms of this unique Nagasaki slope as you walk around.

Glover Garden

Glover Garden is a popular tourist destination in Minamiyamate Town, Nagasaki City.
The garden celebrated its 50th anniversary on September 4th 2024.
Buildings relocated, reconstructed, and restored here include: the Former Glover House, a World Cultural Heritage Site; the Former Ringer House and Former Alt House, Designated Important Cultural Properties of Japan; as well as other valuable traditional buildings from across Nagasaki City. The observatory located within the garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a panoramic view of the Nagasaki Port.

Glover Street (shopping)

Glover Street is a slope that runs from in front of Nagasaki Electric Tramway Oura Cathedral Station toward Minamiyamate Town.
The stone-paved road with an exotic atmosphere is lined with a variety of souvenir shops both large and small.
It’s the perfect place to look around and buy souvenirs from Nagasaki.
