Matsue Vogel Park: a floral and avian paradise overlooking Lake Shinji
Nestled in lush, green hills overlooking Lake Shinji, Matsue Vogel Park is a haven for flowers and birds. Home to Japan's largest indoor exhibition greenhouse, the park showcases thousands of colorful flowers, including a variety of begonias and fuchsias, that can be enjoyed year-round. You will encounter and interact with numerous birds in various places around the park.

A long-established restaurant and Japanese inn that have been loved by numerous writers and artists by Lake Shinji since its founding in 1888, "Minamikan."
A restaurant located within the inn, ‟Garden Restaurant Minami,” lets you have a luxurious time savoring the traditional flavors and viewing the Japanese garden with white sand and green pine trees.

Horikawa Pleasure Boat(Route: from Otemae-hiroba to Otemae-hiroba)
This is an excursion boat that allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of the castle town.
It is the only place in Japan where you can go around a moat built together with the castle that remains to this day, which is rare to find.

Matsue Castle (Admission/Tour)
Matsue Castle is one of the existing 12 castle keeps in Japan as well as a national treasure. “Existing castle keeps” are notable architecture built by the end of the Edo period (1603-1868) and remain to this day. The exterior walls of the castle, also called “Chidori Castle,” are mostly clapboard sidings painted in black. Information related to the town and castle of Matsue is displayed within the castle, and the top floor built as a lookout offers a sweeping view of Matsue City.
