Minamisemba

This is a spot lined with stylish cafes with open terraces, designer shops from Osaka, and other unique shops.

Minamisemba is a unique spot with a lineup of stylish open-air cafes, Osaka-based designer shops, and hair salons offering unique styles. Geographically, the area is bounded by Nagahori-dori to the south, Yotsubashi-suji to the west, Midosuji to the east, and Chuo-dori to the north. Until a dozen years ago, Minamisemba was a quiet, artisanal neighborhood dominated by lumber companies. However, in the early 1990s, several new buildings, such as the Organic Building, around Minamisemba 4-Chome attracted attention, and designers began to flock there. Furthermore, after stores from Shinsaibashi and Americamura relocated, the area gradually saw the rise of high-end clothing stores, cafes, and restaurants targeting people in their late 20s and older. In addition to the well-known shops, there are many hidden gems hidden within the buildings, making shopping a unique way to enjoy Minamisemba.
