Saifukuji Temple
There is a legendary thunder well where an old woman is said to have sealed away lightning.
The monk Shunjobo Chogen, who accomplished many great feats including the reconstruction of Todaiji Temple, was praying for rain during a drought. One day, lightning struck a well, accompanied by a loud rumble of thunder. An old woman then bravely blocked the well with a stone. When the lightning called out for help, the monk let it go, saying, "You must never fall into Kuwabara again." It is said that from then on, if you chanted "Kuwabara, Kuwabara," the lightning would run away.
