Volleyball in Osaka

The predecessor of the V.League, the Japan League (All Japan Volleyball Selected Men's and Women's League), began in 1967. Years have passed since then, and the V.LEAGUE was launched in the 2018-19 season.
The SV League will be launched above the V League from 2024, with the aim of becoming fully professional in the future.
Of the 10 men's teams in the SV League, three - Sakai Blazers, Suntory Sunbirds, and Panasonic Panthers - and the women's team, Osaka Marvelous, are all based in Osaka.
Be sure to come and watch the exciting matches of the Osaka team, which includes players who excelled at the Paris Olympics!
