Higashi Chaya District
With its charming stone-paved streets lined with elegant wooden lattice façades, Higashi Chaya District is one of Kanazawa’s most iconic and picturesque neighborhoods. The main street is filled with stylish cafes, sweet shops, and select stores selling traditional crafts, while the side alleys reveal unique and atmospheric hidden gems. Popular activities include the Traditional Festival Sushi Experience, where the visitors can try their hands at making Kanazawa festive pressed sushi, and the Ozashiki Experience, which offers performances of geisha dance and song.

Omicho Market has been supporting the daily lives of Kanazawa citizens for over 300 years ever since the feudal era. Under a covered arcade, around 170 shops line the streets—offering fresh seafood, vegetables and fruit, prime meat, sweets, and more. The market is also filled with restaurants offering bountiful seafood rice bowls and sushi, along with local specialties like Kanazawa Oden, Kanazawa Curry, and skewered grilled loach.

Zuiryu-ji Temple
Zen Buddhist temple built by Toshitsune Maeda, the 3rd lord of the Kaga Domain, in memory of the 2nd lord, Toshinaga Maeda. Taking 20 years to complete, its architecture is remarkable: the Sanmon main gate, Butsuden Buddha hall, and Hatto lecture hall are designated as National Treasures, while the Somon outer gate, Zendo meditation hall, O-kuri main kitchen, the covered corridors, and the Dai-chado great tea hall are Important Cultural Properties. Seasonal light-up events are also held throughout the year. With the illuminated Sanmon gate emerging dramatically in the night—a must-see spectacle.

Nousaku
Nousaku is a company that brings over 400 years of Takaoka casting tradition from Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, into the modern age. Nousaku manufactures and sells beautifully crafted items. 100% tin sakeware and tableware, brass interior goods, and traditional Buddhist altar fittings are among Nousaku's most prominent pieces. On top of that, they also share the heritage and spirit of craftsmanship through factory tours, hands-on casting experiences, as well as a cafe.
