Kumihama Country Club (A Round of Golf)
A full-fledged seaside golf course bordering the coastline of the San’in Kaigan National Park. The course features a rare type of hole that you must aim at over the water. It is one of a select few such holes in Japan, inspiring players to give it a shot.

Kinoshita Sake Brewery
This brewery was founded in Kumihama-cho, Kyotango in 1840 and is the home of the Tamagawa brand of local sake.
Their complex sake brewing techniques, such as the Yamahai method (brewing using natural yeast) and techniques from the Edo Period (1603-1868) are loved by many. In addition to selling sake, they also offer sake tasting, allowing you the chance to enjoy rare and local limited edition sake only available at the brewery.

Mt. Kabutoyama
Mt. Kabutoyama is located at the southeastern part of Kumihama Bay. It is a 191.7 meter-high rhyolite lava dome, a rarity in the region, with the bell-like shape that is typical of formations of its type. At the top of the mountain is an observatory from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Kumihama Bay area extending out to the Sea of Japan.

Nestled between the sea and mountains of Kyotango’s Kumihama-cho, Hosomi studio offers pottery-making taster classes under the guidance of professional potters using either a potter’s wheel or one’s hands. Kaikatei Hanagozen
Kaikatei Hanagozen is a hot spring inn located on the Tango Peninsula.
It has 24 rooms with open-air baths and 10 rooms with ocean view hot spring baths. The inn is known for its unique flooring with tatami mat in all the rooms, hallways and entranceways. With connections to a local seafood wholesaler, the inn offers dishes incorporating ingredients from all over the Kyoto by the Sea area, such as Matsuba crab.
