Day 4 START
Organic Restaurant
Tentomushi Batake
Tentomushi Batake in Kyotango’s Yasaka-cho produces about 100 kinds of organic vegetables a year.
They collect fallen leaves and grass clippings in the nearby forest, which are fed to earthworms and microorganisms which turn them into soil.
The soil is then taken to the fields where they grow organic vegetables using natural methods.

Onaru Burial Mounds
The Onaru Burial Mounds are a cluster of 13 tombs dating from the late 6th to early 7th century, and the site has yielded many archeological finds including earthenware, Sue ware, and jade and tubular beads. Located on a high plateau that looks down upon Tateiwa Rock, it offers a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan, and in the spring, the area is awash with blooming wild radish flowers.

Tateiwa and Nochigahama Beach
Tateiwa & Nochigahama Beach is located right next to Kyotango’s most famous geo-site, Tateiwa Rock. The beach is characterized by its crystal-clear waters and large reddish grains of sand.
